Given a run down building with a leaky roof and asked to make a respectable office block on a minimal budget is no mean feat. That is exactly what was required for this old complex in Takapuna. The façade upgrade was a case of tear it down and build it up! We followed the concept of the positive and negative detailing to add visual interest to the front. All the timber joinery was removed and replaced with new PC Alum joinery and all the roofing iron was replaced. Hardies Titan board cladding with a negative detail was added, suspended ceilings, office partitions and a final upgrade of the toilet blocks. Throw in a refined landscpae plan and a new carpark and transformation was impressive.
